Calcium AKG, L-carnitine and CoQ10 are studied from different angles within energy, physical performance and healthy ageing. The ingredients each play a different role in processes around energy production.

Calcium alpha-ketoglutarate receives a lot of attention within longevity research. In a study among 42 healthy adults, a lower measured biological age was seen after an average of seven months. Besides calcium AKG, the formula studied also contained vitamin A or D.

L-carnitine is involved in transporting fatty acids to the mitochondria, where they are used within energy production. Research looks at muscle strain, physical performance and recovery after exercise, among other things. Favourable changes have been measured in various studies.

CoQ10 occurs naturally in the body and plays a role in the mitochondria. A meta-analysis of 13 studies with 1,126 participants showed lower fatigue scores among participants who used CoQ10.

Vitamin B12 has a well-established function: it contributes to normal energy metabolism and helps reduce tiredness and fatigue. That makes B12 the clearly substantiated basis for the daily energy support of this formula.
