Dihidroberberina

Dihydroberberine is a derived form of berberine, a natural plant compound found in barberry and goldenseal, among others. Interest in this form is growing because of one important difference: dihydroberberine is absorbed more easily by the body than regular berberine. Part of the berberine you take is converted by gut bacteria into dihydroberberine, which passes the intestinal wall more easily. Dihydroberberine skips that first conversion step, so the body can make more berberine available at a lower dose.

Research
