Liposomes are microscopically small spheres of fat-like substances that also occur in our own body cells. Active ingredients are packed inside these spheres. The liposome forms a protective layer around the nutrient.

That is especially interesting for ingredients that are less stable, or that are naturally harder to absorb.

How does it work?

After intake, a regular supplement meets stomach acid and digestive enzymes. Part of the ingredient can be lost before it reaches the small intestine. With a liposomal supplement, the protective layer helps keep the ingredient intact along this route.
